The 1923 Buccanoy Shirt by Pike Brothers will make you a stylish trendsetter! What's behind it? This collection is a tribute to the golden twenties and even further back. As early as the 19th century, the stand-up collar was considered the epitome of elegance in men's fashion. The ingenious idea: the short stand-up collar made it possible to attach an additional collar - the so-called patricide was particularly popular at the time. This removable extra not only gave the shirt a formal touch, but also made it easier to clean and care for the collar, which quickly got dirty. These shirts were all the rage until the 1940s, when they were gradually replaced by the shirts with a permanently sewn-on collar that are common today.
Pike Brothers pays homage to the original – that’s why the Buccanoy shirts also have the option of buttoning a collar.
